Calabasas is a TV series in which Kim, 43, will be an executive producer and star.

She will do this with Emma, Pretty Little Liars creator Marlene King, and Tar’s Alexandra Milchan.

This comes after a “competitive bidding war” “that lasted all week,” sources told Deadline on Saturday.

Ultimately, Netflix struck a deal to develop Calabasas with the winning bid.

A release date has not yet been announced, but Calabasas is based on the book If “You Lived Here, You’d Be Famous By Now.”

Marlene King will write the adaptation and serve as showrunner.

The show follows “A 16-year-old sheltered Catholic schoolgirl from the Midwest whose world is turned upside down when her family moves and she is forced to move into the fast-paced world of Calabasas High.”

At the main character’s new school: “Nothing is what it seems and where everyone tries to be someone else.

“It’s a place where dreams come true…but not without complications and sometimes unforeseen consequences,” Deadline said.

This is of course a project close to home for Kim, as she has lived in Calabasas for many years and grew up in the area.

The show is said to be “in the vein of The OC and Beverly Hills 90210.”

‘A HIT?’

Fans sit as they reacted to Saturday’s news on social media.

“It’s about to be a hit,” one X user wrote.

“It would have been more fun if Kourtney was there,” another joked.

“Calabasas sounds like it could be a pretty intriguing project with that lineup!” wrote a third.

Others were more skeptical: “Please get the Kardashians away from narrative films and TV!”

This is Kim’s fourth major film project that she has sold since the end of the Hollywood strikes.

The previous three are the feature film Fifth Wheel, which also went to Netflix with its star.

Then there’s an untitled thriller that headed to Amazon, as well as another show she’ll star in: a legal drama series for Hulu.

It’s unclear what Kim’s role in Calabasas will be or who else will star.

Kim rose to reality TV fame on Keeping Up With The Kardashians and is keeping up with Hulu’s The Kardashians.

She also recently played publicist Siobhan Walsh in FX’s American Horror Story: Delicate – surprising fans with her acting chops – and lent her voice to two Paw Patrol films.

She was also a knee-jerk on SNL in 2022, winning over fans with a funny monologue full of self-aware jokes.

But she also had a few lesser-known acting stints as she found superstardom.

Just a month before her reality TV era began, Kim had a steamy role in a Fall Out Boy music video that also starred a chimpanzee.

And perhaps most sadly, she starred in 2008’s Disaster Movie.

Years later, she confessed on the ABC game show Big Fan that she was “mortified” by the movie, admitting that she couldn’t even watch it.
