Fans react as the last tickets for Glastonbury 2024 sell out in 20 minutes

Glastonbury 2024 is officially sold out after the last batch of tickets was picked up in 20 minutes during the resale this morning (April 21).

The general admission resale went live at 9am and consisted of tickets whose original November purchasers had not paid the balance in full before the early April cut-off date.

Competition was reported to be particularly fierce this year, after Glasto co-organiser Emily Eavis revealed the festival had seen the “highest percentage of ticket balances ever paid”.

At the same point last year, general ticket resale sold out in just six minutes.

Some of those lucky enough to get their tickets this morning have shared their excitement on social media. Check out some reactions below:

Others, however, were less lucky:

The festivities return to Worthy Farm near Pilton, Somerset on the last weekend of June, from Wednesday 26 June to Sunday 30 June.

Most of the Glastonbury 2024 line-up has been shared, with Dua Lipa, Coldplay and SZA headlining the iconic Pyramid Stage. Shania Twain, meanwhile, will perform in the coveted Legends slot on Sunday. View the rest of the bill here.

The festival has also started unveiling the line-ups for individual stages, including the Acoustic Stage, headlined by Scouting For Girls, Ocean Color Scene and Gipsy Kings.

This year will also see the debut of the first-ever dedicated South Asian stage, called Arrivals. Artists on the line-up include Bobby Friction, Anish Kumar, Nabihah Iqbal and Nikki Nair.

Shangri-La’s full lineup has also been announced, with the likes of Kneecap, Bob Vylan and Lambrini Girls.

Those wishing to volunteer at the festival should note that there are numerous charities at the festival and they will need volunteers throughout the weekend. In exchange for your ticket, you will be asked to complete shifts at the festival. The length and number of these vary depending on the charity you are attending with. Be warned: you may have to pay a deposit for your ticket, which could be the same price as admission to the festival. Visit Glastonbury’s careers page for more information.

Oxfam also appealed for charity volunteers at Glastonbury 2024, as well as music fans to help at Reading & Leeds, Download and more.
