Will Kawhi Leonard play tonight? Game 1 TV channel, live stream, start time for Clippers vs. Mavericks

The Clippers enter the NBA Playoffs with uncertainty surrounding Kawhi Leonard’s health.

The star forward has been sidelined since April 1 due to a “right knee infection,” and his status is still in jeopardy for LA’s first-round matchup against the Mavericks.

Any absence from Leonard could spell danger for the Clippers. The two-time Finals MVP is key to their success, averaging 23.7 points, 6.1 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.6 steals per game this season.

Will Leonard be able to shake off his injury and get ready for Game 1? In Sports News you will find the latest updates below.

Will Kawhi Leonard play tonight?

The Clippers have listed Leonard as questionable for Game 1.

On Saturday, LA head coach Ty Lue told the media that Leonard “has been shooting and will shoot more with the team today,” but he still has not been cleared for contact.

“He shot yesterday, he was on the ground. (Saturday) he’ll be able to shoot more with a little bit more movement. And he’s going to go through some of the drills as well,” Lue added.

Leonard’s teammate, Paul George, may have inadvertently admitted that Leonard wouldn’t be ready for the first game of the series.

“I do think he’ll be with us at some point,” George told the media the day before Game 1. That’s not exactly encouraging to hear.

Leonard missed fourteen games this season. The Clippers went 7-7 in those games.
